TOP 5: Lunch spots in london
Caravan King’s Cross
Price: ££
Dish of Choice: Grilled octopus, chorizo, piquillo, mojo picon
Location: 1, Granary Building, Granary Square, London N1C 4AA
Comment: The venue is an old granary store giving it a spacious and industrial feel. The long communal tables encourage an upbeat atmosphere, making it a great place for chatting and laughing while you eat. Most of the dishes are small, so are great for sharing – although the pizza is pretty damn good too.
Bocca Di Lupo
Price: £££
Dish of Choice: Tuna steak with pesto trapanese with a side of Castelfranco & tardivo salad with balsamic & hazelnuts
Location: 12 Archer St, London W1D 7BB
Comment: A great two-in-one dining experience. Either perch at the bar, or head down to the back with big tables and an ambience created by softer lighting. A fantastic insight into multiple regions on Italy through food. Delectable, fresh and thoroughly enjoyable – although, perhaps a little pricey.
Andina
Price: ££
Dish of Choice: Pulpo Chancón (gf): grilled octopus, lúcuma, butterbeans, chancaca and limo honey sauce, tomato, red onions
Location: 1 Redchurch St, London E2 7DJ
Comment: Peruvian cuisine at its best. It is much a bar as a restaurant, with upstairs offering a bar with delicious cocktails and rather cramped but cosy tables, while downstairs is bigger and more spacious. The small dishes allow you to tantalize your taste buds through various and multiple dishes. A really gem of a place.
The Morgan Arms
Price: ££
Dish of Choice: Sunday Roast
Location: 43 Morgan St, London, Bow E3 5AA
Comment: An upmarket gastropub with a chic edge. The spacious and light venue offers the perfect place for a Sunday Roast without feeling like you’ve stepped into a dingy pub on a street corner. The food is exceptional, with a variety of cuisines on offer this effortless dining experience is definitely a must on a chilled afternoon.
