Sam Stern Supper Club at Brother Marcus
Brother Marcus is well established on the south London café/brunch scene and following a successful run of pop-up supper clubs last year the Balham boys are now going in for a second stint.
Sam Stern fans rejoice! Those who have followed this Yorkshire boy from a young age will be familiar with his relaxed, accessible style of cooking and if his Instagram following is anything to go by, there’s plenty of us who are keen to see what his next move will be. Since moving to London, Sam has become well regarded on the London food scene, with regular attendance at the latest openings and reviewing different cuisines from around the city on his blog.
In April Sam will be bringing his unique style of Yorkshire homeliness to Balham in with a ‘Greatest Hit’s menu drawing on the most loved recipes from his 7 cookbooks. The pop-up Supper Club at Brother Marcus will be set up in true supper club style with communal tables, and Sam will be serving food family-style to share.
His menu promises hearty food including Slow Roasted Studded Lamb and a Triple Chocolate Tart, counterbalanced with fresh, crisp flavours from a zingy Sumac Martini and Crisp Polenta with Caponata Salad. And of course, being a proud Yorkshireman and tea enthusiast, dinner by Sam will be rounded off with a well-brewed pot of Yorkshire Tea.
