It only takes a bulb or two to get us in the mood, and there are plenty of pretty shiny things around London to get you feeling festive.
Oxford Street Christmas Lights (Nov 22 –Jan 1) are usually the first to switch on in London, accompanied by special entertainment, in-store promotions, and performances and Carnaby Christmas Lights (Nov 24–Dec 31) have their own switch on, and kick off a carnival atmosphere for the local shops, and there’s a new theme every year.

Covent Garden Christmas Lights (Nov 9-Jan 3) are always a treat. The cobbled piazza and market buildings create a perfect backdrop for the 60-ft Christmas tree. Some 30,000 festive lights on the tree and about 115,000 lights across the Piazza will be glowing from early November through early January.

Regent Street Christmas Lights (Nov 13 - Jan 2) is the largest holiday lights display in the UK. The Spirit of Christmas decorations run all the way from Oxford Circus to Waterloo Place, making it a perfect destination for an evening stroll along the traffic-free street. The lights will illuminate the streets daily from 3:30 pm to midnight.
