A Wednesday well spent brings a week of content, or something to that effect! This was certainly true last Wednesday after a fabulous evening of gin education at the very chic, boutique bar Heads + Tails in West Hampstead.
We not only sampled the delicious gin (straight & mixed) but we were fortunate enough to hear all about the distillation process, the story behind building the sustainable gin brand, Inverroche, followed by expert botanical knowledge shared with us by The Garden Taylor.

To end the evening we were treated to a talk by Camellia Taylor, founder of The Garden Taylor. Camellia is a landscape designer, with a passion for beautiful spaces and all things botanical and horticultural. Camellia shared her expertise with us on the various different herbs and botanicals infused within the gin making process and the health enhancing and healing qualities that they have. For instance on the two plates above you can see rosehips and echinacea, two herbs renowned for immune boosting benefits. These are a definite bonus to choosing gin as your choice of drink, but they can also be used as teas and tinctures when in need of some TLC.

We loved Heads & Tails and the beautiful decor. We most definitely recommend you popping down to West Hampstead to try out what they have behind bar. Thank you so much for having us - we will be back!
